Hamish tells the life story of poet, songwriter and ethnographer Hamish Henderson. It draws on rich archive footage from the films of Timothy Neat, and testimony from those who knew Hamish best. He was a shamanic figure whose life embodied many contradictions. An orphan who became a cultural father of Scotland. A man filled with love, at home with both his family and his bisexuality. A committed socialist who was educated at private school and Cambridge. Premiered at Glasgow Film Festival in 2016 and released in cinemas that year.
